Go Huskies!

Here's 3 generations of Husky spirit ready for football season. Poppy is a UW alum from the '60's. Daddy is an alum from the 90's.

Daddy says God forbid I decide to go to Wazoo some day!

Working at the Car Wash, Part Cinco

Ready to wash the car with Daddy. Always start with a soft mitt...

The secret to a good car wash is bubbles. Lots of bubbles!

Oops, Daddy, you missed a spot.

I have to keep my eye on that guy.

After the car is clean, take a little time to enjoy the benefit of the water hose-slash-personal sprinkler!

Whisker Rub

Here's how to get a really great whisker rub.
Step 1: Find a Poppy with some sandpapery whiskers on his face...

Step 2: Rub cheek to cheek.

Step 3: Revel in the excellent exfoliation and facial color!

Zoo Day

"We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you, you?..."

Run, don't walk, to your nearest animal habitat!

We started with this guy...

Oooohhhh....

Sassy girls!

Lunchtime...

The penguins are always entertaining. (You can see my big smile reflected in the glass!)

A little blurry on the elephants, but I love these gentle old souls!

Snow leopards...

And the "zoo day" continued with a sleepover at our house. We ransacked the guest room.

Cheese!!!

Week in Review

I started the week with soccer, and then had a day out at the lake. Oooh, the water is soooooo WARM for swimming!

Trying to find the perfect mix of sand and water for my sandcastle...

My friends came out to the lake to play.

I had some Gramma snuggle time...

And hung from the jungle gym...

And had Friday World Cup Soccer day at camp with my BFF.

The fog was as thick as pea soup this morning!

Go red team!

Digging right in...

My first week of soccer ended GREAT!

More BFF loves...

Playing princess at Ellie's house. I'm Cinderella today.

3 Musketeers in the doghouse. Fun times this week!

Indoor/Outdoor Entertainment

Along with hanging out with friends and family at the lake, we've been filling our summer days with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Both indoor and outdoor.

Indoor entertainment: Making an alphabet poster for Mom to take to school to "help teach the kids their ABCs."

Outdoor entertainment: Reading in the tent.

Indoor entertainment: Building a city with my blocks. (cue Starship..."we built this city, we built this city on rock and roll...")

Outdoor entertainment: Sidewalk chalk, oh yeah!
