Picture Time!

We had a little crying jag in the middle of our picture shoot yesterday, but a couple of cute pics came out of it. Kira made it through without yakking sweet potatoes all over the white sailor dress - hooray! This is one of the proofs in black and white.

The Peace and Not-So-Quiet of Church

Kira and Mommy attended church today to celebrate the baptism of Kira's BFF Elsa and to eat yummy salmon at the fall BBQ. We missed having Daddy with us due to his business trip. Kira spent most of the time up in the Mother's Room crawling, rolling and playing. Why??? Because she LOVES the sound of her own voice babbling, squealing, and banging toys against her mouth during all the quiet and (not-so) peaceful moments in the service. At least it was the sound of a happy baby and not a crying one!

9 Months Old

Kira turned 9 months old yesterday and is going to have pics taken at the studio. We tried her outfit on to make sure everything fit and oh my gosh, getting a semi-posed picture of her is extremely difficult now that she's crawling all over! Even diaper changes involve a super hold-down so she doesn't escape. Jeff says she's like a crocodile in a death roll. :)

Diggin the Puffs

What baby doesn't love to be in the high chair with a handful of cereal puffs???? I think there's a very similar picture of me as a baby sitting in the high chair with a tray full of Cheerios (circa 1972). Timeless. :)

Labor Day at Gramma & Grampa's

The 3 of us spent yesterday with family and friends at Gramma and Gramma Thompson's. Kira was DOTED upon by 4 little boys. :)

Shoes Off

Kira and Mommy are loving our new stroller getting out each day in the beautiful summer-to-fall weather. Notice littlemissy kicking off her shoe in the picture.....she'll do whatever she can to get 'em off when she wants to! In the grocery store the other day the checker said, "Do you know your baby only has one shoe on????" (We found the missing shoe) :)
