Summer Lovin'

So y'all know how much I'm loving lifejackets this summer. Check out this one. It's one of my cousin's, but I HAD TO TRY IT ON. I felt like I was in a sumo wrestling costume and lost my balance...oopsy! I escaped and we all lived happily ever after, my lifejackets and me.

This and That

While my mom was busy doing this (see pics,) I was busy at Gramma's doing this (see pic with all the bandaids on the floor and some stuck on Grampa's knees.)

Ode to Billy Joel

"Oh...sing us a song, you're the piano girl...sing us a song tonight....oh we're all in the mood for a melody, and you got us feeling alright....La, la, la, la-dee-da-ah, la la, la-dee-dahhhhh-ahhh!"

Water Babies

My BFF Elsa came over and we hung out in the pool. I had loads of fun pouring out the water with a giant pitcher.

Hot, Hot, Hot

I found this Minnie Mouse fleece suit in a tub of clothes in my closet and just had to try it on right away. I don't think it's meant to be worn in the summer. I kept saying "Hot, hot, hot," (but cried when I had to take it off.)

Hernando's Hideaway

I love to hang out/hide out in this cozy little spot in the garage. When my mom is unloading groceries and I've "disappeared" here's where I can usually be found.

Climber

This post could also be titled: "How to Give My Mom a Heart Attack." At Gramma's the other day, I found a great way to climb up on the bench in the bathroom and then sit in the sink and talk to the little girl in the mirror. Grampa told my mom she should grab her camera, and she was trying to help me to "SIT DOWN!" while snapping these pictures. I can't help it...I love to climb!

My Future's So Bright...

...I gotta wear shades! Although first they were upside down, then crooked, then I just gave up and said, "Cheese!"

Wheelies

My Great-Aunt Carol and her boyfriend Tom were in town for a conference and came over for dinner tonight. Tom entertained me with wheelies in my car. Yeehaw!

Land of 1000 Bibs

Current obsession: bibs. And LOTS of them. I like to dig in the "childproof" drawer en pointe (notice how I can just barely squeeze my hand in there...) sift through the various colors and patterns, and then wait patiently while the nearest big person pops them all around my neck. Here I am in my pool with a lovely assortment of 6 bibs. My record was 7 bibs the other day at Gramma's house.

Kiss My Grits

I was brushing out my curls the other day and lo and behold, I transformed into Flo the Waitress. What do you think? Uncanny resemblance, no?

Daddy and the Chair

I'm not much of a snuggler. Here are two pictures of me trying to escape from snuggling in Daddy's lap in the chair.(FYI: My mom's really into checking out pictures from last year. She loves to ooh and ahh over my growth, and she gets really excited when there's one even remotely related to a current one.)

Yogurt Face

I took a quick snack break today in my backyard. Lounging in my pool is hard work!

Swim Little Fishy

I swam at Gramma and Grampa's yesterday, first in my dress, then in my wetsuit and lifejacket. (Remember when I said "I heart lifejackets" about a month ago? Well, G&G went back to the boat shop and bought me the lifejacket I loved! Now I have a lifejacket for every occasion.)

Yankee Doodle Girl

I'm a yankee doodle sweetheart, then and now!!! Put a curly wig on that baby from one year ago, and voila! you have Kira, age 19 months.

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety-Jig

We're finally home from our little vacay to Vegas. I just have to say hooray for my own bed!!! I'd like to take this moment to thank Ryan, Randi and Austin for being awesome tour guides. We went to the shark reef at Mandalay Bay on the last day. I screamed.
You'll also notice my final Vegas pic here next to the colorful Wheel of Fortune slots at the airport. Can you tell I was ticked my mom wouldn't let me play a buck?
