Halloween

Kira's dayplanner was full today:

10 AM show off my costume in the Pumpkin Parade at Columbia Elementary School (I saw some cute costumes, but I think mine is the cutest)

11 AM nap (a princess, I mean pumpkin, needs her rest!)

2 PM visit Reenie (she got a new hairdo...and I had to show her my costume)

2:30 PM show off my costume at Daddy's office (the ladies gave me a sucker...I loved the stick and the wrapper)

6 PM dinner with Gramma & Grampa (and show off my costume)

7 PM trickortreat (the neighbors wanted to see my costume)

7:10 PM nigh-night! (not a moment too soon)

Dishwasher

Another First

Daddy showed Kira her first pumpkin last night.

Walking with Daddy

Kira has been standing and cruising around the furniture for several weeks now, but has just recently wanted to "go walking" with someone leading her. She's a total speed demon when it comes to crawling and loves to be chased. Lately she's taken to standing and holding onto my legs while I'm getting ready in the morning or standing in the kitchen.

Go to the Light....

Ooooo, pretty light! Kira is drawn to any and all light, especially when it's filling a happy pumpkin face.

Fluffy Love

Kira can't get enough "fluffy love" from Aunt Kathi's Persian kitty, Abu. He definitely qualifies for the MOST TOLERANT CAT award!

Jill

Although Kira has made many animal friends lately, she was not so sure about Jill, her cousins' pet tarantula. Jill is on the carpet in the bottom right-hand corner of the photo.

Tutu much

Even though it's still 2 months away, we had to try on the "birthday tutu" that arrived in the mail today! Every girl needs a tutu (and a tiara....but that's probably a couple of years down the road) to wear on her birthday.

Ooh, that tickles!

Kira made friends today with Elsa's doggie, Hunter, the chocolate lab.

Busted Again (Binky Stealer, part 2)

Why is the grass always greener???? Kira spent the better part of her morning yanking on her friend Elsa's binky. Notice Kira's binky hanging from her brown and pink clip.

Down Yonder in the Pumpkin Patch

Kira found her perfect pumpkin today on a beautiful, sunny fall day. She took a hayride, pet the sheep, and sat on Daddy's lap on an old John Deere tractor.

Spaghetti

Kira had her first taste of spaghetti and couldn't get enough. In an attempt to avoid the "traditional baby mess with spaghetti", I spoon fed her instead of letting her feed herself, but as you can see babies + spaghetti = mess (no matter what the case!)

I Think I Can, I Think I Can.....

This is Kira's new mantra now that she's STANDING AND REACHING for everything in sight!

Flashback

Kira loves her cousins who play with her and give her anything she wants! This is a flashback picture from August (same day as "Dinner at Aunt Kathi's" blog where we discussed Kira being afraid of Great Gramma Evelyn.) Update on the Gramma Evelyn situation.....Kira is now getting used to her and doesn't cry when she sees her anymore. Yay!
